We nurture and develop brass band music, thereby enriching cultural life in Zug.
The Harmoniemusik Zug is a long-established society with 30 members, which has been promoting brass band music in Zug with passion and dedication for over 100 years. Founded in 1887 as the ‘Arbeitermusik’, the Harmoniemusik is now an integral part of Zug’s cultural life.
With a wide-ranging repertoire, spanning from sophisticated concert music through light music to traditional marches, it delights its audience. The musical highlights of the year are the Spring Concert and the Annual Concert in the Grand Hall of the Theater Casino Zug.
In addition to its concerts, the City of Zug Wind Orchestra also enriches official occasions such as church services, municipal events and federal ceremonies with its resounding performances.
The Zug City Wind Band is committed to the musical education of young musicians, thereby helping to preserve the tradition of wind music in the region.
Whether traditional or modern, here musical diversity meets the sheer joy of playing.
Has this sparked your interest and do you have an instrument at home? We’re always delighted to welcome new players!
Don’t play an instrument but would still like to support the band? New non-playing members are also welcome at any time.
