About the Association

The association ‘Victims of Narcissists’ was founded on 31 August 2021 by Chris Oeuvray and Martina Müller in Zug. Both had experienced toxic relationships themselves and had managed to break free from them. This experience gave rise to a shared aim: those affected should not be left alone with their questions, self-doubts and fears.

It all began with a self-help group for women in Zug. It provided a space for conversations that were sometimes barely possible within their own social circles. Here, those affected could share their experiences, recognise patterns and realise: others know this confusion. Others have found a way out.

The focus is on supporting people who suffer from manipulation, belittlement and control. The association aims to encourage people to take their own experiences seriously, set boundaries and act independently once more.

The programme includes face-to-face meetings as well as online discussions. Education and mutual support help participants to better understand harmful relationship patterns and identify the next steps to take.

The name describes what people have experienced. It is not intended to define them by it. The aim is to regain trust in one’s own perceptions and to shape a life in which one’s own needs matter.
