About the Association
With over 600 members, the Oberwil-Gimenen neighbourhood is one of the largest in the municipality of Zug. The founding of the first neighbourhood association dates back to the 18th century. However, the NOG in its current form was established in 1906.
The NOG is actively committed to:
- modern infrastructure
- safe footpaths and cycle paths
- publicly accessible riverside areas and meeting places
- local information
- a vibrant cultural life in Oberwil
Activities
- Annual General Meeting with a cosy get-together
- The traditional village fair on the first weekend in September
- The quarterly village newspaper, *Dorfzytig*, for local news
