Running, jumping, throwing – growing together. Your athletics club in Zug. Since 1927.
Do you want to run faster, jump higher or throw further? At Hochwacht Zug, you can discover your strengths, set new goals and push yourself to new heights together with others. We are an athletics club for children, teenagers and adults – with a particular focus on young athletes.
For us, sporting ambition, team spirit and fun go hand in hand. Younger children are introduced to athletics in a playful and varied way. Teenagers and young adults continue to develop their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches. Whether you simply enjoy being active or are working towards competitions and personal bests: we’ll support you on your sporting journey.
Training together, cheering each other on and celebrating successes: that’s what makes our club special. Training camps, youth camps and club events create experiences and friendships that last well beyond the track. With the UBS Kids Cup and the Visana Sprint, we also organise competitions where young athletes can get off to a flying start right here in Zug.
Founded in 1927, Hochwacht Zug has evolved from a gymnastics club into an athletics club. In 2027, we’ll be celebrating our 100th anniversary with special activities throughout the year. We’re looking to the future: we want to inspire young people to take up athletics, nurture talent and shape the future of our club together.
Fancy getting started with us? Sign up for a taster session. We’ll let you know which training group is currently open for new members.
At Hochwacht Zug, there are various ways you can become part of the team: as an athlete, as an official, or by providing support behind the scenes.
From the U10s right up to the senior team, we offer children, teenagers and adults the chance to experience athletics together and develop their sporting skills. Are you interested in sport and would like to get to know us? Then come along to a taster session!
Do you have some or even a lot of experience in athletics and would like to pass it on? Then get in touch to become a coach or training leader for our motivated young athletes. With your knowledge and enthusiasm, you’ll support young talents on their sporting journey.
Your commitment counts off the track too. Whether it’s in organisation, at competitions or in club work: with your skills and ideas, you’ll help drive Hochwacht Zug forward and help shape its future.
Would you like to support the club without actively taking part in sport yourself? As a passive member, you’re very welcome and will remain connected to Hochwacht Zug.
Another option is Club200, our patrons’ association. Through your commitment, you’ll strengthen the club and support the sporting development of our athletes.
Whether in your trainers, lending a helping hand or as a supporter: we look forward to welcoming you!
